10 Things Your Kids May Never Know About
Do you look forward to the day when you have your own kids? Or the day when your kids grow up? Probably. But have you ever wondered about the things that your kids may never know about? Things that are close at heart to you but will look like some alien contraption to them? Below is a list of my personal favourites, the 10 things that your kids may never know, extracted from the 100 Things That Your Kids May Never Know by Wired.com.
1. Inserting a VHS tape into a VCR to watch a movie or to record something.
2. Standard-definition, CRT TVs filling up half your living room.
3. The number of TV channels being a single digit. I remember it being a massive event when Britain got its fourth channel.
4. The scream of a modem connecting.
5. Screens being just green (or orange) on black.
6. Finding out information from an encyclopedia, or a physical dictionary — either for spelling or definitions.
7. Getting lost. With GPS coming to more and more phones, your location is only a click away.
8. Putting film in your camera.
9. LEGO just being square blocks of various sizes, with the odd wheel, window or door.
10. Having to manually unlock a car door.
