MD34!slept at 3am.. cos doing some cards for some ppl.. alan ah.. liyi.. lucas.. yanling.. that tinkerbell.. LOL
anyway.. put alarm 830.. i snoozed it til 1130.. LOL den panic!
packed everything lying around my room.. rushed over to esplanade by cab..
on the way over den i realised its percussion rehearsal around 1200.. main band starting ltr..
right..
so.. met vincent at the security counter..
i tell you ah.. that security guard has photographic memory one siol.. can remember whose esplanade pass is authenticated with photo ID and whose isnt.. woahh.. thats 100+ ppl today FYI.. lol
after rehearsal.. was tiring.. den still had to go through alumni rehearsal.. HAHA.. dies*
seriously damn tired after tt.. reed starting to die on me..
den went str back to the room and bathe before eating tt nasi lemak dinner.. SHIOK..
starting the concert.. Overture to Candide!
feels underpowered as compared to rehearsal.. cymbals didnt come in on repeat.. haha
den.. I Remember Clifford.. i was backstage.. was talking about how come esplanade doesnt give that stagefright "kick".. LOL.. VCH has alot lorr
den went back for Spaceship Yamato..
the 4th mvmt is repeating in my mind "as we speak".. so yearning.. *sigh* lol =/
eh... i sort of luan abt the order of the pieces liao leh.. -.-
theres this percussion ensemble piece.. mario!
den they incorporated ipads into a CNY piece.. sounds damn funny hahaha..
when they came backstage we were all singing at the stage door.. LOL
oh yea.. theres the accidental chord or what that came from one ipad after the ending.. sounds like a fitting ending.. but its accidental!! HAHA nice
theres the Concertante for solo alto sax (Breyann)..
we got ready.. Chiang came in.. looked for the score.. gave us a stunned face.. looked again.. went out.. came in again with no score in hand!..
i was going "uhoh.." with Chiang giving the =S
haha
so... miscues.. trying to to hear for cues in breyann's solo.. speeding the second part.. tried to slow down.. cannot haha.. but breyann still can play at tt fast fast tempo.. eh ehhh.. woahh.. haha
During New World Symphony.. caught this one audience at 3rd row stall seat stage left.. dunno she staring or stoning while looking in my direction.. i reached the middle slow part and stared back den she looked away.. LOL fun
anddd... alsoo.. my reed kept giving way during new world... cant play the fff parts with good tone.. rawr!
almost cried after finishing tabidachi.. the crying is infectious de lor.. Dx
den gaga piece very high LOL
den went back.. gave out the wood treble clefs phone dongle during that "self declared christmas" that happens after every IBM/MD.. HAHA..
super tired noww... heng i took off tmr woah.. K.O.
all in all.. i dont remember performing in the esplanade this packed.. a few unexpected stuffs happened.. but they made it all the more memorable.. x)
the hard work.. the dedication.. the applause.. the laughter.. the smiles on the faces.. the tears after that.. the self declared christmas..
